Beautiful Backgrounds - Cardz 4 Galz

Time for another Cardz 4 Galz challenge day!

Onto this fortnight's challenge. Challenge # 79 is Beautiful Backgrounds.
The challenge is to create your own background, no patterned papers.

Here is my DT card:

The background was created by using a stencil and then spreading some liquid pearls over the card.My apologies but the camera is not picking up the gorgeous shimmer of the pink liquid pearls.
The thanks die cut is cut with a "Winnie & Walter" die, embellished with Ranger's Gloss.
Embellished with two tone flat back pearls and 3d gloss.

I made this card for a colleague of mine.
A Psych graduate hopefully going on to her Master degree. She's awesome!

The butterfly is a die cut, mounted on a hand coloured rainbow background.
Embellished with clear glitter.
The sentiment is from a stamp set I bought ages ago on Aliexpress.
Embellished with a scatter of rainbow gems.

Crafting By Designs - Steampunk - GDT

Hi Peeps
I'm delighted with the challenge this week over at Crafting By Designs - Steampunk!
 I'm a Guest Designer for this challenge :) wooohooooo!!
Here is my card:

The gorgeous digi is from Lunagirl - Steampunk Girls.
I've printed it out, and added the cracked glass effect to it. I sprinkled a sprinkle of glitter on the melted embossing powder for a little sparkle.
The cog borders are partially embossed with platinum gold embossing powder and I've added a few velvet butterflies as embellishments.

Had one of those yesterday where noting was going right.. nooooothing, stamping, silhouette machine etc..etc :)
Quick card after all the shenanigans...

I love the effect of stamping on kraft. shabby chic vintagy is my favourite ;)
