Dia daoibh!
Ah, winter in healthcare. That magical time when everyone’s coughing in harmony, the hand sanitiser flows like holy water, and the staffroom kettle is working harder than management at inspection time. Between chasing thermometers, losing pens, and pretending the vending machine coffee is grand, we’re practically superheroes. Still, we keep the spirits up with biscuits, sarcasm, and industrial-strength hand gel.
For my own creation, I worked with the colour theme of Pewter, Ruby and Lapis Blue. Apologies - the pewter looks moodier in the photo than it does in real life. It’s not actually auditioning for a goth phase. The design features the Spellbinders “Breezy Swing” die set, cut from Tonic Studios cardstock, layered over a softly stencilled cloud background created with Memento Platinum ink for a delicate shimmer effect. I finished it off with some sparkly gems, and a sentiment (Sizzix: Sunnyside Sentiments) stamped with StazOn ink for that crisp finish (and the faint whiff of “no going back now”).
If you haven’t joined the Card Chain Challenge, you really should. You make one card, send it off to a crafter somewhere in the world, and get one back. It’s like pen pals for glitter lovers and slightly unhinged scissors hoarders. The excitement when that envelope arrives is unreal ... you’d think the postman was handing out scratch cards and free biscuits.
Right, I’m off to make a strong coffee and pretend that tidying my craft desk counts as cardio.

Just love your breezy swing among the clouds, Wendy! So gorgeous in the color palette!!
What an amazing card you created Wendy. Absolutely love it and I wish I had given these colors a chance. They didn't appeal to me when I saw them as a challenge option but every single card made here with these colors I have loved.
PS: I'm with you pretending cleaning up my desk is a cardio workout LOL. But honestly my desk gets so bad at times that it really is haha!!
Take care!
Stunning card Wendy, I love the gorgeous image and beautifully coloured-it honestly looks like a magazine cover-brilliant. Would also like to add you do a brilliant job-I have my youngest son in the hospital at the moment!

What an amazing card I love it. Such lovely dies and that blue dress looks stunning. Love the soft sky background too. I do hope that all that hand gel has kept the bugs away from your respiratory system xx
If only the flowers were still blooming in Minnesota like they are on your card. We're basically iced in, here. Lots of snow and frigid winds. Your card was a beautiful breath of warm fresh air!
Your card is a stunner, Wendy, and no mistake! Winter in Healthcare sounds rather like Winter in an educational setting - full of gooey yuckiness. Keep going, you can so it! Thanks for being a link in our chain again at CCC, Jo x
I just love that miss having such a lovely time swinging in the fluffy white clouds, Wendy! The colors worked perfectly on this and the sentiment describes the scene! I enjoy reading your humorous post as well! Julia xx
